Get the most out of your VisitDr. Wilson knows that it sometimes can be hard to know what to say to your doctor so let's look at a medical history dialogue.
When you talk to your doctor try something like this:
I have had ..... (problem: back pain) for ..... (time: days, weeks, months, years). It first began ..... (when: spontaneously, after lifting a box, when I was injured in high school sports, after a car accident). The pain is ..... (type: dull, radiating, hot, aching) and is ..... (severity: mild, moderate, severe, intolerable). The pain is ..... (location: upper, mid, low back) and is ..... (duration: intermittent, constant). It is worse when I ..... (worsening factors: lift, twist, at the end of the day, sneeze) and better when I ..... (relieving factors: lean more on one leg, sit in my chair, get a massage). When I take ..... (medication: advil, tylenol) the pain gets ..... (effect: better, worse, no effect).
Once we dialogue and address the medical condition, then we may have some time to chat about the fun stuff!

We make every attempt to run on-time and we don't double-book appointments. Therefore, if you need to reschedule your appointment, please call 24 hours ahead to allow your appointment to be offered to another patient.
Arriving Late:
If you arrive late, you have used some of your allotted appointment time. If we cannot evaluate and treat you in the remaining time, your appointment will need to be rescheduled. You may be offered the option to wait for the next available appointment..
Emergencies:
After hour emergencies are referred to your nearest emergency room. You can reach emergency services or an ambulance by calling 911. Your doctor cannot adequately assess your condition over the telephone and does not have access to your medical records outside of regular office hours.
